Terms and Conditions

Quotes & Deposits
Any quotes given, either verbally or in writing are only guaranteed for 7 days and a revised quote will be given after this time if requested.  To secure a booking for a Birthday Cake or Celebration Cakes, a non-refundable deposit is required of £25 or 50% (whichever is greater) and the balance is payable when the cake is collected.  For Wedding cakes, a £50 non-refundable deposit is required at time of order, with the balance payable with installments if required, from 8 weeks prior to the wedding with final payment due 1-2 weeks before the Wedding.  

Birthday/Celebration Cakes
A limited numbers of orders are taken each month, enabling us to give full personal attention to every order, therefore we require a minimum 10-14 days' notice for birthday/celebration cakes and at least 3 months for wedding cakes.

Where possible, we will try to accomodate shorter notice periods but choices of designs may become limited. As all cakes are made to order, we would like to stress that to enable fruit cakes to fully mature we require 3 months notice, however we will try to accommodate shorter notice periods, but please be aware the fruit cakes' best flavour may not have been reached.

Cupcakes
Ideally we require a minimum 4 days notice for most cupcake orders (min. order 6 cupcakes), however if we will try to accomodate shorter notice periods where possible. For orders over 48 cupcakes then we require a longer notice period of minimum 1 week.

Delivery charges
Due to the delicate nature of all the cakes, we are not able to deliver any cakes by any external commercial courier service.

Collection of all cakes and cupcakes is preferable, however should you require delivery within a 20 mile radius, then the following charges will apply:

Deliveries within the Maidstone ME15 postcode £3.00
Deliveries over and within a 5 mile radius of ME15 postcode £5.00
Deliveries over 5 and up to 10 mile radius of ME15 postcode £8.00
Deliveries over 10 miles and up to a 20 mile radius of ME15 postcode for £12.00
Wedding Cakes within the local area (20 mile radius) will be delivered and set up at a standard £15 fee. 

Cake Stand Hire
We are able to hire out either our 15" round or 15" square Silver effect Napier Cake Stands to proudly display your Wedding Cake. The charge is £15 for a 2 day hire with a £50 refundable security deposit.

For cupcake displays, we can also hire our 7 tier round acrylic cupcake stand (holds approx 100 cupcakes) for the same terms. Cake knives are not provided.

Changes
Changes to any Celebration or Wedding cake order designs within 7 days will incur charges subject to a mimimum fee.  Changes can only be accepted subject to time permitting and at the discretion of The Cake Carousel.
